Job Overview

Specialty: Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular ICU

Location: East Texas

Setting: Inpatient

Dates: To Be Determined

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rounding in the ICU.
• Manage pre and post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.
• Oversee patients transitioning off ventilators.
• Provide care for individuals emerging from the operating room, including those with open-heart surgeries, VATS, and lung procedures.
• Handle an average caseload of 10-15 patients at any given time.

Work Schedule

• Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM
• Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Facility Information

This position is within a Level I Trauma facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Texas License.
• Experience with post-operative cardiac patients and ICU settings is essential.

Technical Skills

Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record system is required.
