Develops and oversees revenue-generating Foundation appeals, coordinating with marketing and events teams. Maintains the Foundation fundraising calendar, tracking all events and campaigns. Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards individual and corporate donors. Manages the Grateful Patient Program, recognizing potential donors and referring them to Development leaders. Oversees Annual Giving for external and internal constituents, including meeting new employees and managing mass mailings. Provides accountability tracking through accurate reporting of fundraising and financial activity. Directs the foundation team in prospect identification, research, data management, campaign coordination, stewardship, and donor recognition. Brings new donors and prospects to the Foundation using direct mail and marketing techniques, maintaining accurate data and membership rosters. Executes donor recognition and gift acknowledgment programs, including thank you calls and handwritten notes. Adheres to professional and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with local, state, and federal statutes. Exhibits exceptional interpersonal communication skills in both written and oral form. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be adept in use of MS Office products, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and ideally familiar with fundraising and donor prospect software, such as Raiser’s Edge. Must have in-depth knowledge of the region, corporate and civic community, or a proven successful territory development in a different market. Must be a self-starter with the initiative to manage or help manage prospects and donors, and coordinate with other Foundation staff to ensure total coverage of the donor/prospect base. Must have experience in volunteer or professional fundraising and currently have or be willing to build an established network of community and business relationships. Must have the ability and desire to extend the mission of AdventHealth. Must be able to communicate and motivate via excellent written and verbal skills with empathy and see things from the other person’s point of view. Must understand the principles of donor marketing and fundraising cost-effectiveness, including donor targeting, donor giving opportunity development, organizational need and solutions-based selling, and expense to profit ratio. Must appreciate the need for consistency within AdventHealth’s branding and marketing mix. Must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality productivity or major gift solicitation. Must be reliable, tolerant, determined, forward planning, and critically assess own performance. Must be well-presented and businesslike with the ability to interact with senior managers, company executives, board members, and grateful patients in a mature and credible way. Must be sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel within the Central Florida area. Must be open to new experience, responsibility, and accountability. Must be able to get along well with others and be a team-player.
