About the Role
The Company is seeking a President & Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead its philanthropic efforts. The CDO will be the senior strategist, fundraiser, and leader, with a primary focus on developing and delivering a comprehensive campaign to maximize financial support for the medical center and its affiliates. This role requires a minimum of 12-15 years' experience in not-for-profit management, a strong background in fund development, and a proven track record in leading large-scale fundraising campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for institutional leadership, supervising the foundation management team, and personally managing a pool of top-tier prospects. They must have the ability to work with senior leadership, engage and support the foundation board, and communicate the foundation's objectives to a wider audience. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should possess a Master's degree and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, financial acumen, and the ability to build collaborative relationships. The role demands a candidate with a high level of data fluency, proficiency in interpreting financial statements, and a deep understanding of the relationship between philanthropy, organizational strategy, and financial performance. The CDO will be expected to have a successful track record in board development, education, and engagement, as well as the ability to effectively motivate and manage people.
