Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Night Shift Team - Cardiac Telemetry Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
- General Skills:
- Post MI, Heart failure, Arrhythmias, Chest pain, Peripheral Vascular Disease
- Peritoneal Dialysis, Telemetry, EKG, Doppler
- Ratio / Census: 1:5; 16 Beds with an average daily census of 16
- Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Scheduling Details:


- RTO: MAX 7 days RTO
- Block Dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
- Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Call Requirements: None

Holiday Requirements:


- Work 1 major holiday during assignment.
- If 2 major holidays fall in the assignment period, work both.
- If 3 major holidays fall in the assignment period, work two of them.

Compliance:


- Full compliance required to start on time.
- Clinical Screen: Candidate will be reviewed for clinical fit.
- Locals Accepted - Same Rate
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length.

Clinical Skills Required:


- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Blood Product Administration
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Central line care/management
- Feeding tube care and management
- IV insulin protocols
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry - on the unit monitoring
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Unit Details:


- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 16
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Diagnoses: CHF, Chest pain (pre and post cath), Dysrhythmias, Sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issues
- Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services
