Key Responsibilities We're seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Maitland, FL. Staff Accountant I | Maitland, FL Location: Maitland, FL Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Onsite) Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 We're seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Maitland, FL. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong month-end close experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications Support month-end and quarter-end close activities Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expense accounting Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Record liabilities and maintain accurate general ledger balances Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances Administer and support the corporate credit card program Process and audit employee expense reports through Concur Assist with sales and use tax filings Support internal and external audit requests Participate in process improvement initiatives and special accounting projects Qualifications Experience in a Staff Accountant, Accountant, or similar accounting role Strong understanding of: Bank reconciliations Fixed assets Depreciation Prepaid expenses Journal entries Month-end close Intercompany accounting Balance sheet reconciliations Experience with expense reporting systems (Concur preferred) Accounting degree preferred but not required CPA not required Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Additional Information Reports to the Accounting/Finance leadership team Drug screening required Credit check required as part of the onboarding process Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
