Warehouse Clerk - Georgia International Convention CenterWarehouse Clerk position available at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, GA 30337.Job DescriptionProof of the Pudding (POP) is proud to provide the food and beverage services at the Georgia International Convention Center. POP offers fine-quality concessions and catering for meetings, exhibition hall booths, conventions, and special events. Georgia International Convention Center includes a 9,800 square foot state-of-the-art culinary arts center and Georgia's largest ballroom at 40,000 square ft.We are looking for multiple Warehouse Associates to receive, sort, and organize incoming orders, equipment, and product. This position is responsible for assisting the moving and organization of product to maximize kitchen efficiency for each event. The Warehouse Team will work with the Chefs and Operations Team to organize and identify items, prepare kitchen distribution, double check inventories, and help distribute product for event days.Essential ResponsibilitiesAssist with the receiving of shipments, monitoring inventory, and sorting productCheck product in by comparing shipment to order invoiceOrganize invoices and assist with the PO processHelp organize large deliveries multiple times per dayOrganize the prepared food storage trucksOperate food-service equipment in a safe mannerStores, labels, and dates all food items in accordance with health code and the Culinary Team's instructionsReceiving finished product from kitchen, safely storing in compliance with Proof and Health Department procedures, inventorying each item to meet production numbers.Pull and organize locations stock in accordance with Culinary pull sheets, communicating shorts to Culinary leadPlan to fill shorts and or day of menu items and execute distribution of items to locationsClearing storage locations post-event, inventorying excess product, separating returns from donationsCleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the walk in coolers and freezers, loading dock area, and dry storage.Works with Culinary team to line up donation company for post-event, oversees process and communicationPerforms other related duties as requiredQualificationsExperience & Specialized Skills:Experience in a high volume food distribution role is needed, work in stadiums, arenas, concerts, and large-scale event centers are comparable to this roleServSafe certified is preferredFamiliarity of invoices and managing inventoryComfortable commuting to College Park, GASpecialized Qualifications:Flexibility and a positive attitudeThe ability to work independently and proactivelyKnowledge of best food safety practicesStrong organization and communication skillsCore Value and Competency RequirementsBusiness AcumenDedicationEthics and IntegritySafety & SecurityTeamworkCommunicationInitiativeAdaptability & PlanningService OrientationWork Environment:This position is often outside on the loading dock or working in storage areas that can be refrigerated or for frozen storage. This role is highly physical with an emphasis on organization and moving products in a fast-paced work environment.
