Senior Tax Accountant

As a Senior Accountant , you’ll work closely with partners and staff in our open-door, collaborative culture, serving as a trusted advisor to both individual and business clients. What You’ll Do/Responsibilities Prepare individual, fiduciary, and business income tax returns Oversee the efforts of multiple engagements at once, in a variety of industries with the ability to manage and budget Prepare clear and accurate workpapers Research and interpret tax laws and regulations Effectively and actively communicate important and time sensitive matters Stay current on tax standards, laws, and firm policies Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality What We’re Looking For/Requirements CPA license (or actively pursuing licensure) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in public accounting with a tax focus Strong technical knowledge of business, individual, and state/local tax preparation Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets Ability to leverage current technologies while embracing new tools and concepts to enhance efficiency and client service Ability to communicate complex financial information with clarity and professionalism, both in writing and verbally Staff supervisory and project leadership experience Perform complex financial analysis Ability to be self-directed, work with a team or autonomously Excellent client development/relationship building skills & ability to identify potential client opportunities with firm leadership Why You’ll Love Working Here/Benefits 401(k) with up to 4% match Health Insurance - firm pays 99% of employee premium Dental Insurance & Long-Term Disability - firm pays 50% of employee premium $1,750 annual HRA Optional vision, accident, and life insurance Paid vacation & sick leave 9 paid holidays Flex hours April – December Opportunity for remote workdays Opportunity to earn up to 80 hours additional time off annually Opportunity to earn annual bonuses New client commission incentive Opportunities for growth, advancement, and professional development Base Salary: $75,000 – 100,000, based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Dempsey Vantrease & Follis PLLC
