Medical Assistant/Correctional Health Technician | Maricopa County, AZ

Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) is hiring Medical Assistants/Correctional Health Technicians for onsite opportunities in Maricopa County, AZ. These are great contract opportunities for candidates seeking a consistent schedule in a correctional healthcare setting.

Openings:

• Day Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Night Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Minimum 13-week commitment
• Jail/Clinic: To Be Determined (TBD)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certificate of completion from a MA-accredited Health Care Training Program, as required by Arizona regulations, or applicable exception
• Current N95 fit testing
• Current BLS and First Aid Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care within the MA scope of practice under medical/nursing supervision
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatment; obtain patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints
• Perform office procedures, tests, examinations, venipuncture, injections, immunizations, and TB skin testing as required
• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Maintain exam/procedure room supplies
• Assist with scheduling, filing, scanning, and other administrative duties
• Use Microsoft Office for documentation, spreadsheets, email, and scheduling
