High-Level Responsibilities

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary patient care.
• Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
• Establishes a therapeutic relationship, allowing the patient to attain, maintain or regain optimal function through assessment and treatment.
• Engages patients, families, and other caregivers to incorporate knowledge, values, and beliefs into care planning.
• Provides patient education to assist the patient and/or family in understanding all phases of the invasive procedure process.
• Performs the recording, circulating, and monitoring of patients in all phases of the procedure.
• Performs hemodynamic and moderate sedation, medication administration, and provides pre and post care to patients.
• Collaborates with health care professionals in planning radiology patient care intervention.
• Delegates elements of care as needed, based on assessed needs, condition and safety of the patient.
• Maintains ethical, professional nursing practice and follows established policies of the practice setting.
• Delivers consistent care and improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates positive, effective communication skills and professional behaviors that promote cooperation and teamwork with internal and external customers.
• Participates in educational activities and continuing education requirements.
• Applies evidence-based practice/research to patient care.
• Maintains and protects all printed and electronic files containing sensitive data in accordance with privacy policies.
• Manages workload as assigned, organizes, and completes own assignments in an efficient and appropriate manner.
• Performs all duties as assigned.
