The position involves caring for patients of all age ranges, from infants to geriatric patients. The nurse will handle a variety of diagnoses, including complex cases that often present in the emergency department. This role requires every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled. Floating within the emergency department specialty is required. The nurse will be expected to maintain a patient ratio of 1:4. Strong skills in emergency care and experience with the listed procedures and diagnoses are essential. The candidate will manage various emergency medical scenarios, requiring critical thinking and swift action. Candidates must be proficient in managing ventilated patients, administering medications, and performing cardiac monitoring. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be part of the role to ensure comprehensive patient care. Prompt response to emergencies and effective communication with other staff members are crucial for this position.
