Job Description

The Restaurant Floor Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of BUTTER restaurant and works in conjunction with additional management and operations.
Supports the operations of the restaurant, working to maximize food and beverage profitability while upholding the restaurant, policies, quality and guest experience standards
Works the floor actively, applying a hands-on, team player approach
Manages special events staff to ensure proper staffing, assignments, service, client contact
Hires, assigns, trains, motivates, evaluates and terminates team members as necessary
Provides in-the-moment coaching and feedback to team members, actively facilitating their growth
Manages inventory levels and replenishes goods and operating materials to include dry goods, restaurantware, linens
Collaborates with special events department on adjoc projects
Helps oversee reservations department by monitoring different reservations softwares
Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents
Troubleshoots restaurant maintenance and contacts appropriate contractor
Maintains a high level of hospitality towards guests as well as within the team
Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience managing a large restaurant staff to accomplish sales and guest service goals
Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skills
Excellent communication, leadership and team-building skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with Opentable, Resy, & Toast
Experience with Contemporary American cuisine and wine highly preferred
Job Requirements
Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and some lunches.
