Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, gathering detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations to understand the patient's condition fully.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans alongside the supervising physician that address the unique needs and goals of each patient, utilizing evidence-based practice.
• Execute procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks under physician supervision, ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate patients on pain management techniques, the significance of medication compliance, and necessary lifestyle changes to improve their condition.
• Engage with other professionals, including physical therapists and psychologists, fostering a multidisciplinary approach that ensures comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on patients dealing with various acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, arthritis, and post-surgical pain. Our patient demographic is diverse, requiring a compassionate approach that respects individual needs, cultural backgrounds, and health histories. You will be expected to build strong relationships with patients, enabling effective communication and trust, which are critical in the pain management journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure and board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with a preference for candidates who have experience in pain management or related fields.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to connect with patients and their families effectively.
• Capable of working autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team setting, contributing to a cohesive healthcare environment.
• A strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care standards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a pain management clinic or with procedures relevant to pain management is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and a willingness to adopt new technologies that enhance patient care.
• Accreditation from a recognized specialty board as a Physician Assistant can be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that ranges from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
