• The candidate will be responsible for attending and leading meetings with the procurement team, tracking project progress, following up on action items, and providing updates to leadership. Experience with purchase orders (POs) and supplier management is highly preferred for this role.
\n
• Open to candidates with a degree in Supply Chain Management or a degree in another field combined with relevant experience.
\n
• This position is expected to last 6 months to 1 year, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, working fully onsite.
\n
• Once the hiring manager is ready to move forward, selected candidates will be invited to participate in a 45-minute, in-person interview.

Description:

• Project Management skills to drive Procurement project
\n
• Keep project information accurate: Check that project records contain the required part numbers, savings information, project owners, and approval references.
\n
• Track deadlines and follow up: Monitor upcoming and overdue milestones, follow up with project owners, and track their plans to bring delayed projects back on schedule.
\n
• Coordinate project readiness: Track engineering-resource assignments, required reviews, and open questions so projects are ready to move to the next stage.
\n
• Follow up on approvals: Work with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and the project-management office to close pending approvals.
\n
• Support cost-saving business cases: Help maintain tariff-saving templates and check assumptions with Finance and Sourcing.
\n
• Prepare management updates: Compile completed projects, savings, project status, and future cost-saving opportunities for review meetings.
\n

Summary:

• Conducts complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base; applies analysis to purchasing process improvement initiatives.
\n
• Identifies qualified suppliers and executes sound source selection processes.
\n
• Has regular interface with suppliers within area of responsibility and maintains the supplier relationship.
\n
• Understands how key purchasing principles are used toward assuring supply.
\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Independently carries out sourcing activities with full consideration for the impact of those activities on the end-to-end supply chain.
\n
• Executes sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery.
\n
• Participates in sourcing and commodity strategy formulation.
\n
• Analyzes complex sourcing and purchasing initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services.
\n
• Prepares and presents to senior purchasing/sourcing leadership recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action.
\n
• Ensures consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes.
\n
• Supports purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.
\n
• May lead a team of sourcing analysts and specialists at the business unit and/or international purchasing organization (IPO) regional level.
\n
• Leads analysis projects/initiatives providing coaching to less experienced analysts and specialists.
\n
• Negotiates select contracts.
\n
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers to the benefit of both parties.
\n
• Understands the importance of compliance and is alert to situations that can pose risk to Client Inc.
\n

• New Product Development Sourcing - Leverages new product development process by executing the category team strategy when selecting suppliers to deliver the Value Package Introduction and meet timing, cost and quality targets.

• Product Life Cycle Management - Identifies and executes changes to the product portfolio in response to evolving market dynamics and customer needs
\n
• Source to Pay Principles - Leverages key principles of the Source to Pay process to smoothly execute sourcing decisions, order placement, material/service acquisition and on-time payment of Suppliers.
\n
• Sourcing - Utilizes the purchasing functional system to support the Request For Quote process and establish a Total Cost of Ownership comparison of suppliers based on the category strategy and define the supplier that is most likely to meet Client and customer's needs.
\n
• Supplier Capacity Management - Leverages Client marketing forecast processes and data required from suppliers for capacity planning; negotiates capacity requirements in supplier contracts to deliver the lowest Total Cost of Ownership; links interrelationship between capacity management and product quality; assesses suppliers to ensure that they are capable of meeting client total demand for both production and aftermarket.

• Supplier Contract Development - Creates contracts to cover commercial and legal relationship between Client and supplier; incorporates commercial requirements and laws of regions, drive consensus amongst stakeholders and develops a mutually agreed and legally approved contract created using a Direct Supplier Supply Agreement (DSA) and the C-Review Process and Negotiations Excellence skill.

• Supplier Contract Management - Assesses and enforces contractual terms and conditions; monitors key performance indicators throughout the term of the contract to ensure we reach the intended value of the contract; manages supplier delivery of product to Client requirements.
\n
• Supplier Tooling Management - Manages supplier tooling strategy by noting the impact on Total Value Performance throughout the product life cycle to accurate piece price, leverages Client owned tooling procedure and ensures continuance of supply from that supplier or another by use of that specific tooling, by using proper Letters of Intent and bailment agreements; tracks and maintains inventory of which tooling Client has paid for and owns.

Education :

• College, university, or equivalent degree in supply chain management or a related subject required.
