Position Overview: As an Estimator at New Tayler Glass, you'll play a crucial role in our project planning and execution process. You'll work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to accurately estimate the materials and resources required for commercial storefront system installations. Your strong mathematical skills, proficiency with fractions, and keen attention to detail will be essential in ensuring accurate cost assessments and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Perform precise measurements and calculations using mathematical formulas and fractions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to gather accurate pricing for materials.
• Generate comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and other project-related expenses.
• Assist in preparing / executing project proposals and bid documentation.
• Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure accurate project understanding.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and pricing to enhance estimation accuracy.
• Provide support to project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Strong mathematical skills, with an ability to work confidently with fractions and measurements.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using estimation software is a plus, but not required, we will train you using our software.
• Previous experience in estimation or the construction industry is preferred, but not essential.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external partners.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• A passion for accuracy and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
