Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care/ICU DAYS position requiring LA or compact RN license and hands-on experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, and CRRT. Requirements Active RN license in Louisiana or compact required Current BLS certification from AHA required Current ACLS certification from AHA required Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps required Experience with Impella devices required Experience with post-op cardiovascular surgeries required Experience with CRRT required BSN preferred 1 year of experience in Critical Care setting preferred, new graduates will be considered Responsibilities Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting within a hospital Patient population includes DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator-dependent patients Nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Requires working every other weekend No on-call responsibilities No floating requiredNo floating required 13-week assignment length Full-time work schedule Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for critical care patients Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess and address learning needs of patients and families, providing education as needed New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete department-specific competency validation Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire Dress code requires teal or Caribbean blue scrubs Temp-to-perm opportunity possible Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-734040 Open Positions: 2 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
