Test TechnicianAs a Test Technician at our Alpharetta, GA facility, you'll put your electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to work testing custom industrial control systems and making sure they're ready to perform in the field. You'll power up equipment, troubleshoot electrical and functional issues, verify systems against project requirements, and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to deliver reliable, high-quality equipment to our customers.Here's what you can expect from the role, the team, and the culture that supports you:Job Type: Full-time, hourly position with overtime eligibilitySchedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PMTesting & Troubleshooting: Work hands-on with custom industrial control systems, performing electrical testing, power-up, troubleshooting, inspections, and verification to ensure equipment meets project and quality requirementsTeam Culture & Growth: Join a collaborative, down-to-earth team with opportunities to grow your expertise in electrical testing, troubleshooting, industrial controls, and automation, along with employee appreciation events, team activities, community involvement, and seasonal celebrationsInterview Process: Virtual screening, in-person interview(s), and facility tourAs a Test Technician, you will:Safely power up and test electrical equipment and control systems, including equipment operating at 500V+Perform electrical testing using multimeters, hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipmentTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and functional issues identified during power-up and testingPerform ohm checks and inspect electrical assemblies for proper wiring, workmanship, and functionalityVerify completed equipment and project materials against electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs)Identify, document, and communicate test issues and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve themSupport customer factory acceptance testing (FAT) and complete related test documentationMaintain accurate project records, including drawings, photographs, test results, and project informationSupport manufacturing and project needs as requiredFollow established testing procedures, electrical safety requirements, and quality standardsWhat We're Looking For:Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on electrical experienceExperience with electrical assemblies, control panels, or industrial electrical systemsExperience using electrical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and hi-pot testersAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsKnowledge of electrical safety and safe power-up procedures, including work around energized equipmentStrong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and communicate issuesStrong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test resultsPreferred Experience:Experience testing industrial control panels or custom electrical equipmentFamiliarity with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, or industrial automation systemsExperience with factory acceptance testing (FAT) or system-level troubleshootingPhysical & Work Requirements:Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions throughout an 8-hour shiftManual dexterity and ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipmentOur Benefits Package: Invested in Your SuccessComprehensive medical coverage with a 100% company-paid deductibleDental and vision insurance401(k) with employer match and immediate vestingCompany-paid life insurance and short-term disability coveragePaid time off package with PTO, 10 company holidays, sick leave, and parental leave for growing familiesEducation assistance for ongoing professional developmentEmployee wellness programsCompany-provided tools and boot allowance$1,000 employee referral bonusesAuthorization to WorkApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.Employment is conditional on passing a background check and drug screening, subject to applicable laws and regulations.At Premier Automation, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
