Position Overview

We are currently seeking a compassionate and driven Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at Firepower Rehab & Therapy Clinic located in Salinas, California. In this full-time position with an onsite work setting, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the rehabilitation process for our patients. Your expertise in physical therapy will facilitate recovery and improve the quality of life for individuals dealing with musculoskeletal, neurological, and soft tissue conditions.

As part of our home care initiative, you will engage directly with patients in their own environments, assessing how their surroundings affect their rehabilitation journey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments using various testing methods including range of motion tests, muscle strength evaluations, and functional performance assessments to identify specific impairments.
• Utilize the findings from patient evaluations to develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that align with both patient goals and physician recommendations.
• Implement safe and effective physical therapy techniques, including manual and therapeutic exercises, modalities (e.g. heat, cold, ultrasound), and patient education sessions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, self-management techniques, and strategies to support recovery.
• Advise other healthcare professionals regarding patient care strategies, rehabilitation techniques, and equipment needs, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
• Oversee and mentor non-professional and support staff involved in patient treatment to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will be on orthopedic rehabilitation patients, including those recovering from surgery, injuries, and chronic conditions. Your expertise will be key in helping these individuals regain their physical capabilities and confidence, an essential aspect of their overall wellbeing and return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Must hold a current Physical Therapist license in the State of California.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in orthopedic physical rehabilitation, demonstrating solid clinical skills and patient management capabilities.
• A clean professional record with no past disciplinary actions or board measures against your licensure.
• Proficient in advanced manual therapy techniques and skilled in designing and implementing personalized exercise regimens for diverse patient needs.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience with community outreach and education programs is highly valued as we seek to foster a proactive approach to health in our patient population. Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or areas of focus will further distinguish candidates.

Compensation and Benefits
