The incumbent provides guidance and technical experience to ensure the safety and well-being of all department personnel during emergency and non-emergency operations. The position oversees occupational health and safety, assists in safety investigations, develops safety policies, issues bulletins, and serves as the department’s liaison with external occupational health agencies. Work is performed independently under the direction of the Fire Chief and Deputy Chief and is reviewed through reports and results achieved.**Minimum Qualifications:****Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Science, Emergency Management, Public Health, or a closely related field** and **three (3) years** of relevant experience in occupational health and safety, risk management, or fire service safety programs, emergency services, or high-risk operational environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
