Description

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of cardiac experience for an acute care hospital assignment.

Details

• Acute care CVOR unit with 2 surgical suites averaging 4 cases per day
• Common procedures include CABG, TAVR, and minimally invasive and open valve replacements
• 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30a-5p)
• Call requirement of 10 call shifts per 6-week schedule, with 30-minute response time
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to the Main OR may be required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac surgical tech experience required
• BLS certification required
• Crisis Protocol Approved certification required
• License required if applicable
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Work alongside CVOR RNs and OR techs under charge nurse/house supervisor oversight
• Facility provides scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Mandatory call/standby participation required for all staff
• Some states require candidates to reside a minimum distance from the facility to be eligible for this position
