Capital Equipment Sales Engineer — Cement Process Systems

Location: Allentown, PA | Employment Type: Full-Time | Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 base + 15% uncapped sales incentive

Your impact

• Open doors and grow accounts across cement, mining, minerals, aggregates, and bulk material handling.
• Identify opportunities for Pyro & Grinding upgrades and capital equipment that enhance throughput, efficiency, and reliability.
• Guide customers from problem definition to solution selection—then negotiate and close.

Core responsibilities

• Prospect and expand customer relationships within the assigned market.
• Qualify, scope, and prioritize new opportunities in cement and heavy/process industries.
• Sell engineered solutions, retrofits, and capital equipment for Pyro & Grinding applications.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to understand operational constraints and improvement goals.
• Develop and present persuasive technical and commercial proposals.
• Lead commercial terms, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations through award.
• Partner with engineering, proposal, product, and project management teams to ensure feasibility and delivery alignment.
• Maintain an accurate, current pipeline and forecast in CRM.
• Visit customer facilities; travel as needed to support pursuits and relationships.

What you’ll need

• Experience in technical sales, capital equipment sales, applications engineering, or business development in industrial environments.
• Strong grasp of engineered equipment and an ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Industry exposure to cement, mining, minerals, aggregates, bulk material handling, or similar heavy/process sectors (strongly preferred).
• Exposure to Pyro, kilns, coolers, grinding, mills, or other cement equipment (highly desirable).
• Track record of relationship management and new business creation.
• Polished presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• BS in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
