Mint Market in Jersey City and Hoboken, NJ is looking for one style merchandise manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive to detail, punctual, reliable and loves fashion.
Responsibilities
- Apply your experience and knowledge of fashion and merchandise execution to drive sales and profits
- Be accountable for all new deliveries and maintain order in the stockrooms of each store
- Perform quality control on new receipts and maintain records of damages/RTVs/Refunds or store credits from vendors
- Use your creativity and fashion vocabulary to describe the garments received, contemporary or vintage
- Create barcodes for products and use fashion vocabulary to describe
- Execute tagging of garments
- Manage and execute the placement of new deliveries on the sales floor
- Must able to lift 25lbs max
- Tagging job function is performed while sitting, merchandise placement is performed while standing
- Greeting customers while on the sales floor
- Use visual merchandising skills to merchandise and outfit store racks
Qualifications
- 1-2 yr experience in related role
- Experience working in retail is a plus
- Sense of urgency
- Punctual and reliable
- Ideal candidate will have experience with describing fashion and knowledge of fashion history
- Able to work with computers and retail devices such as scanner, printer, tag gun, steamer.
- Collaborative and loves to be part of a young, energetic team
