Sales Development Representative

People Architects is excited to partner with our client, a growing SaaS company in Lincoln, Nebraska serving the transportation and driver compliance industry, to recruit for a Sales Development Representative. Summary: Our client is looking to build their sales team and is looking for driven, coachable Sales Development Representatives who want to launch or grow a career in sales. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑growing company solving real problems while building a solid foundation in outbound sales. This is a great fit for someone who is competitive, resilient, eager to learn, and not afraid to pick up the phone. Prior sales experience is not required. Our client is open to recent graduates, early‑career candidates, and candidates with 6 months to 2 years of sales, SDR, BDR, customer‑facing, or related experience. This role is full‑time and in‑office in Lincoln, Nebraska, 5 days per week, 8 am‑5 pm. Key Responsibilities Prospect into target accounts through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels. Respond to inbound leads and warm marketing‑generated leads. Research companies and contacts to personalize outreach and identify relevant pain points. Set qualified meetings and product discovery conversations for the Account Executive team. Create Sales Qualified Leads that help drive pipeline and revenue growth. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of prospect activity in the CRM. Participate in mock calls, call coaching, weekly 1:1s, and team huddles. Learn the company’s products, customer base, industry, and buyer pain points. Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine outreach, target lists, and prospecting strategy. Qualifications (required and preferred) Strong desire to build a career in sales. Comfortable picking up the phone and making outbound calls. Competitive, coachable, and resilient. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Curious, willing to learn, and open to feedback. Organized and able to manage daily activity, follow‑up, and goals. Comfortable working in a metrics‑driven environment. Team‑oriented and willing to contribute to the success of the group. Positive attitude and ability to handle rejection. Willing and able to work full‑time in office in Lincoln, Nebraska. 0–2 years of sales, SDR, BDR, inside sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, athletics, fundraising, or other people‑facing experience preferred, but not required. Prior SaaS, software, transportation, trucking, logistics, compliance, or motor carrier industry exposure is a plus. Experience using a CRM or sales engagement tool is a plus. Background from the University of Nebraska, Center for Sales Excellence, or another sales‑focused academic or professional program is a plus.
