Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00. Salary commensurate with experience.

Position Summary:

Join a team committed to creating a positive and enriching after-school experience for every student. The ideal Extended Day Assistant enjoys working with children, brings enthusiasm and energy to each day, and recognizes the important role after-school programs play in a child’s growth and development. We are seeking individuals who are caring, dependable, engaging, and dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and fun environment where students can learn, build relationships, and thrive

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
• Build supportive relationships with students and encourage respectful interactions.
• Facilitate age-appropriate games, activities, crafts, and recreational opportunities.
• Assist students with homework and other age-appropriate academic activities.
• Support daily arrival, dismissal, snack, transitions, and cleanup routines.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, families, teachers, and colleagues.
• Follow school policies, safety procedures, and Office of Child Care regulations.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and help ensure the health and well-being of all students.
• Contribute to a welcoming Extended Day program that reflects Holy Trinity’s school community and values.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with children required; experience in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program is preferred.
• 45-hour or 90-hour Child Care Certificate required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or eligibility for recertification.
• Ability to successfully complete all required federal and state background checks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, flexible, patient, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
