Position Highlights:

• Position: Retail Pharmacist
• Location: Canyon View Pharmacy
• Retail Pharmacy Hours: 
  
  • Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 6:30PM
  • Saturday 9:00AM - 3:00PM

 

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify provider medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
• Following established protocols and legal requirements.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence, including during discharge and in outpatient encounters.
• Supervise, mentor, and delegate tasks to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Maintain inventory, oversee storage conditions, and monitor drug shortages or recalls.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs.
• Serve as acting Pharmacy Director during absences, ensuring continuity of operations and oversight.
• Verify integrity of all products prior to distribution to patient care areas.
• Always Abide by all current United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recommendations.

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of pharmacy preferred with at least one (1) year of related experience. Inpatient pharmacist experience preferred, but not required.
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires current, unrestricted licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Colorado.
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) required

 

 

Compensation:

• The anticipated compensation range for this position is $61.00 – $70.15 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.

Additional Information:

• Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 after starting work.
• Work Location: In-person/onsite
