If you have ambition to make a difference, then please read on. Work closely with Products, R&D, ProductManagementand Engineering teams throughout the NPD process. Support the creation,validationand maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs). Source and evaluate components for new product designs, considering cost, lead time, lifecycle,availabilityand technical suitability. Provide early procurement involvement during product development to reduce supply chain risks. Support engineering change management activities and approvals impact, ensuring procurement impacts are understood and controlled. Identifyalternative components and suppliers to improve resilience and mitigate obsolescence risks. Develop andmaintaincommodity strategies for assigned product categories. Monitor global market conditions, technologydevelopmentsand supply chain risks affecting critical commodities. Managecomponentshortages,allocationsituationsand market disruptions tomaintaincontinuity of supply. Lead supplier engagement activities to improve availability, quality, leadtimesand commercial performance. Conduct regular supplier reviews and support supplier qualification and onboarding activities. Raise and manage purchase orders in line with business demand. Maintainaccuratesupplier pricing, leadtimesand sourcing information within ERP/MRP systems. Negotiate pricing,contractsand commercial agreements to achieve best value. Work closely with Planning and Production teams to support operational requirements. Expedite critical materials whenrequiredtominimiseproduction disruption. Managecomponentlifecycle risks including obsolescence, end-of-lifenotificationsand last-time-buy opportunities. Maintain approved supplier and approved manufacturer information whererequired. Support cost reduction, valueengineeringand continuous improvement initiatives. Provide regular reporting on commodity risks, marketdevelopmentsand supply chain opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies,proceduresand relevant regulatory requirements. Attributes Criteria Experience in technical procurement within electronics,manufacturingor engineering environments. Experience supporting NPD/NPI projects and working closely with Engineering or R&D teams. Proventrack recordof supplier management, strategicsourcingand commercial negotiation. Experience managing complex supply chain risks, commodity challenges,shortagesor allocation situations. Understanding of electronic components,PCBAsor electronic components. Education and Training Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (desirable) Professional qualifications such as CIPS or equivalent (desirable) Skills, abilities and specialist knowledge Ability to interpret engineering drawings,specificationsand BOM structures. Strong understanding ofcomponentsourcing, suppliercapabilityand commodity management. Knowledge ofcomponentlifecycle management and obsolescence planning. Strong commercial awareness, negotiationskillsand supplier relationship management. Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to assess market trends, leadtimesand supply chain risks. Experience using ERP/MRP systems andmaintainingaccurateprocurement data.
