Job Title Pool Registered Nurse, Marcus Neuro Institute, Per Diem, 6:30P-7:00A Sub-Specialty Procedural Position Summary The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse – Pool DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner while utilizing and promoting evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety and service. Estimated pay: $47.00 per hour, depending on shift. Responsibilities In this role, you will: assess and prioritize patient needs; apply technical and clinical skills in a high‐acuity environment; communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; practice critical thinking and adaptive decision making; plan and execute interventions; evaluate patient outcomes; maintain professionalism and leadership; and uphold service of the highest standard. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Nursing Licenses & Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Registered Nurse (RN) RNs hired before 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen's) are not required to hold a BSN to continue in a non‑leadership RN role RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree have three years from hire date to complete a BSN degree RN must complete a preceptor class within 12 months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice Required to work minimum shift including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in the nursing staffing policy As per department standard, any of the following may be required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP or ONS‑Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card 18 months experience required. BLS and ACLS mandatory. Must have 1 year prior step‑down or Neuro experience.
