Sales Development Representative - East Coast

Position Summary Smartsheet is looking for a dynamic Sales Development Representative II to generate sales pipeline, drive revenue‑creating activities, and fuel our fiscal year growth targets. You will develop a deep understanding of customers, prospect relevant accounts, and use outbound initiatives to engage and qualify potential customers. As the first touch point for prospects, you set the tone for the entire sales cycle and work closely with Commercial and Enterprise teams. Responsibilities Partner with Commercial and Enterprise sales teams – including New Business, Expansion, Customer Success, and Professional Services. Collaborate with Smartsheet teams to develop account knowledge, relationship maps, and use‑case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools. Set qualified prospect meetings with our Sales Executives. Strategically prospect key account targets and contacts. Hold thoughtful, engaging conversations over phone, email, and LinkedIn. Be the subject‑matter expert on Smartsheet products and services. Generate appointments by independently identifying suitable companies and contacts, and initiating outreach via email, LinkedIn, cold calling, and/or using sophisticated software sales tools. Influence and manage multiple outbound sequence campaigns in our sales engagement platform. Record and document all activity in Salesforce.com. Monitor the social web for opportunities and leads, and participate in outbound social marketing initiatives. Leverage taught sales techniques to maximize prospect interactions. Maintain a high level of activity to qualify and create exponential sales pipelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in a Sales/Business Development role. Strong work ethic and self‑motivated, competitive spirit. Ability to understand customer pain points, requirements, and present Smartsheet as a solution. Skill in managing numerous requests and competing time demands while achieving production goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Passion for working with new technologies and concepts. Ability to navigate adversity, remain driven, and resilient. Experience using CRM, sales engagement platform, and prospecting tools is preferred. Compensation US Base Salary Pay Range: $50,000 - $50,000 USD . Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range that may vary by location, experience, and other factors.
