Senior Revenue Cycle Manager

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent revenue cycle leadership experience) 9+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience 4+ years of revenue cycle management experience 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams and direct reports Strong knowledge of medical billing, collections, reimbursement methodologies, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience with denial management, accounts receivable, payer relations, and revenue cycle performance metrics Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills Preferred Experience within physician practices or multi-site healthcare organizations Knowledge of practice management and revenue cycle systems Experience managing payer contracts and reimbursement strategies HFMA, CRCR, CPC, or similar healthcare revenue cycle certification Experience leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives About the Role We are seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle Operations to lead and optimize all aspects of the revenue cycle for a growing healthcare organization. This individual will oversee revenue cycle teams and processes from patient registration through final account resolution, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong financial performance. The ideal candidate is a strategic healthcare leader with deep expertise in medical billing, collections, reimbursement, denial management, and revenue cycle optimization. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, providers, and operational teams to improve processes, maximize revenue, and drive key business outcomes. What You'll Do Lead all revenue cycle operations, including registration, authorizations, billing, coding, claims management, collections, cash posting, and denial management Develop and execute strategies to improve reimbursement, reduce denials, and optimize financial performance Analyze revenue cycle metrics and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Establish and monitor KPIs, productivity standards, and performance goals across revenue cycle departments Collaborate with providers, operational leaders, and payer partners to improve revenue integrity and patient account accuracy Manage accounts receivable performance, aging reports, payer audits, and reimbursement initiatives Drive process improvement projects and revenue cycle transformation efforts Develop, mentor, and lead managers, supervisors, and staff within the revenue cycle organization Oversee vendor relationships, software performance, and system enhancements Ensure compliance with organizational policies and all applicable state and federal regulations Present operational and financial performance updates to executive leadership Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
