Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to join an extrusion and trucking parts manufacturing company.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.

• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of machinery.

• Repair and replace defective parts or components as needed.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

• Investigate equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions promptly.

• Collaborate with other team members to identify and address recurring issues.

• Research obsolete parts or find alternative parts for machines.

• Execute repairs on several types of machinery, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.

• Install new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

• Identify and work with outside vendors as appropriate.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.

• Provide detailed reports on equipment conditions and recommend improvements.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or extrusion in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read blueprints for hydraulic and electrical schematics and interpret technical manuals.

• Electrical knowledge of high and low voltage.

• Use of material handling equipment. Able to obtain OSHA certification.

• Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.

• Welding and fabrication experience desired.

• Experience using fabrication equipment, including saws, drill presses, manual mills, manual lathes, etc. CNC equipment experience a plus.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, focusing on improvements in organization.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent GED; technical/vocational training preferred

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar industrial setting.
