Camp Counselor

Camp Bow Wow is a Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp that provides a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! We provide doggy day camp for clients wishing to drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, as well as overnight boarding for travelers. We are looking for full and part‑time Camp Counselors that have a genuine love of dogs, are energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable team players. Camp Bow Wow cares for dogs 365 days a year including Saturdays, Sundays, and every holiday. Candidates must be able to work during hours of operation and must live in proximity to the Tempe/Mesa location. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Capable of physical activity up to and including handling XL breeds and deep cleaning. Comfortable with administering (some) medications to dogs (Senior CC only). Calm, patient personality with dogs and engaging with them while monitoring their physical and mental behavior. Experience with breed specialties (e.g., tea cup, high activity level, or extra‑large breeds). Reliable transportation. Punctual and dependable. Ability to clean the facility and help dogs with baths. The Scoop on the Job A gift for connecting with animals and the motivation to care for them as you would your own. Taking a course on Pet First Aid and CPR (course is paid for as a benefit of employment!). Comfortable with administering (some) medications to dogs (Senior CC only). Compensation $14.70+ an hour (starting pay, pending on experience) + tips. Hours can revolve around school and other responsibilities. Personal growth opportunities including hourly rate increases and managerial promotions. You will be certified in pet CPR & First Aid (we will pay for it).
