RN - L&D Profession: RN Specialty: Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: Stable certification preferred but not required, LDRP experience highly preferred Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery by the healthcare team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients in transitioning through their healthcare encounters without preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on the Nursing Practice Act, each patient's condition, and the competencies of the employee. The RN position is for hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24X7 staffing, including those with on-call staffing during off shifts. Essential functions include:Clinical Judgment – Conducts accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards.
