This full-time opportunity (approximately 37.5 hours per week) allows you to provide vital support across a diverse school population, helping young learners access the skills and tools they need for independence and academic success.
As a contract Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to deliver high-quality services in a supportive school-based environment. Each day brings new opportunities to impact lives through assessment, creative interventions, and progress monitoring.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, though clinical backgrounds are considered
- Strong ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and document student progress
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual goals
- Support students’ progress in motor development, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with families to support carryover and generalization of skills
