Charge Nurse - Stepdown & Floor Units

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. This position is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and patient care on the Stepdown and Floor Units. The Charge Nurse will ensure high standards of nursing care while managing unit operations during their shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff on the Stepdown and Floor Units.
• Oversee patient care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Titrate drips and manage patient medication as required.
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and supervise telemetry monitoring.
• Assist in the management of critical cases, including trauma and cardiac patients.
• Maintain communication with residents' families regarding patient status and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license with state board.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• Experience in Stepdown and MedSurg nursing preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 12-hour night shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
