Opportunity
The Director – Human Resources, Enterprise Functions drives enterprise-level talent strategy for the globally matrixed Enterprise Functions of Human Resources, & Finance (numbering over 700 associates) in support of Kohler's business groups – Kitchen & Bath and Hospitality. Acting as a trusted advisor to executives, this role translates business priorities into people strategies, unlocking organizational performance, strengthening leadership capability, and delivering outcomes that fuel growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Challenges & shapes enterprise decisions with Enterprise Functions executives to drive talent strategies, plans, and organizational capabilities.
- Develops HR plan to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps. Ensures the organization has suitable access to talent to ensure future business growth and success.
- Advances Talent and Culture initiatives through consultation and relationship building, while ensuring alignment to enterprise strategies.
- Supports, develops, engages and retains talent by creating and implementing talent management solutions (engagement, succession planning, learning and development, assessment, planning)
- Creates an experience-based talent culture across all enterprise organizations in aspects of talent attraction, development, improving organizational health and driving high performance culture.
- Creates end to end global talent model for each Enterprise Function that includes attraction, retention, performance management and development.
- Drives diversity and inclusion strategies to embrace applicants and associates of all backgrounds and to support the full development and high performance of all associates in an inclusive environment.
- Prepares functional communication and associate engagement plans.
- Develop strategies to address organizational change and related change management issues.
- Advances Talent and Culture initiatives through consultation and relationship building, while ensuring alignment to enterprise strategies.
- Drives enterprise workforce strategy tied to business performance metrics
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3 or more years working in a global matrix
- 6+ years leading and developing talent across matrixed environments, with proven ability to build high-performing teams, strengthen leadership pipelines, and drive measurable improvements in organizational performance
- HR change agent who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assess HR implications of business strategies and priorities.
- Ability to use data and reporting to drive strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across global matrixed organizations to optimize outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into phased actions.
- Demonstrated process excellence related to design, improvement, standardization, and automation.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization globally.
- Able and willing to travel globally.
- Candidates in the CHRO succession pipeline are strongly preferred given the close working relationship and regular partnership with the CHRO and CFO.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
