Senior Project Accountant94000 HQ Office Fort Worth TX - Fort Worth, TX 76104OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift 1st Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category AccountingDescriptionSenior AccountantPosition Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Company's general ledger, managing intercompany accounting, overseeing bank reconciliations, recording payroll activity in Jamis, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and reliable financial data across all entities. The Senior Accountant works closely with the Treasury/Revenue Manager to support cash flow management, financial reporting, intercompany activity, and compliance reporting requirements.Primary ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger Management • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. • Review journal entries and account activity. • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported. • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.Intercompany Accounting • Manage intercompany billings and reconciliations across all entities. • Prepare and review intercompany journal entries. • Maintain intercompany reconciliation schedules. • Resolve intercompany differences on a timely basis. • Ensure monthly reconciliation of all intercompany balances.Bank Reconciliations • Oversee monthly bank reconciliations for all entities. • Investigate outstanding reconciling items. • Ensure all reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.Payroll Accounting • Record payroll activity into Jamis. • Prepare payroll journal entries and allocations. • Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts. • Coordinate with Payroll and Human Resources regarding payroll-related issues. • Ensure payroll costs are accurately recorded by entity and department.Month-End Close • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations. • Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other close-related entries. • Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting.Treasury and Revenue Support • Support cash flow reporting and forecasting efforts. • Support billing and revenue reporting as needed. • Assist with audit requests and lender reporting requirements.Team Leadership • Review work for accuracy and completeness. • Assist with process improvement initiatives and documentation.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Timely completion of bank reconciliations. • Timely completion of payroll journal entries. • Reduction in unreconciled intercompany balances. • Timely completion of month-end close assignments. • Accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations. • Timely completion of compliance support schedules. • Timely completion of audit requests.Education and Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent5-10+ years of progressive accounting responsibilitiesMinimum two years in project/contract accounting, government contract accounting preferredWorking knowledge of GAAP; knowledge of FAR and CAS preferredExperience with JAMIS Prime a plusAdvanced MS Excel a plusPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerOccasional periods of prolonged exposure to load noisesAbility to lift up to 15 pounds at timesAbility to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands as necessaryAbility to hear and see to position and safety requirement levelsThe work environment is open concept and is usually quiet to moderately noisyWork from home is available from time to time with approvalOccasional travel requiredSpecial Qualifications/Requirements:Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigationDisclaimer:The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and that additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
