The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of all facets of the Home-Based programs provided by Whitington Services for Children and Families. This includes ensuring the highest quality of care for all clients, program development, personnel administration, financial management, fund raising, marketing, relating to all other senior management staff, and coordination of relations with appropriate related organizations. She/he ensures the highest quality of therapeutic services to clients as necessary. Consultation with staff is provided at individual meetings, team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training. Direct care is provided in the form of individual, family, and/or group therapy. He/She ensures that programs and operations are in accordance with the policies set by the Board of Directors, as well as with all applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and other requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical support to program staff
- Remain available to provide regular individual clinical consultation to Home Base Supervisors, Case Managers, Therapists and any other program staff.
- Assist in orientation and training of new staff members.
- Attend court hearings as appropriate
- Review and approve all initial assessments, treatment plans, and monthly progress reports.
- Provide direct therapeutic services to clients
- Provide individual and /or family therapy to internally referred clients.
- Assist in planning and/or facilitating other groups as necessary.
- Maintain a strength-based approach with all Whitington clients.
- Coordinate and/or provide clinical consultation/in-service training for staff.
- Assist in the development of training curriculum to meet the agencys changing needs.
- Ensure accurate and ethical appropriate billing related to services are provided.
- Provide Home Base Supervisors, Case Managers/Therapists with regular updates on active clients and caseload needs
- Ensure that all standards, regulations, rules and laws for operation imposed by regulatory agencies are met and honored by the program staff.
- Facilitate staff meetings encouraging teamwork and coordination among programs, sharing information within programs, addressing issues of department administration Provide training on clinical issues to staff
- Masters or Doctorate degree in the following Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Addiction Counselor. Significant related work experience in childcare institution or related field with specific experience in administration, fund raising, public relations, long and short-term range strategic planning, personnel supervision/management, and financial management
- Valid Drivers License.
- Ability to plan develops, implement, manage, and monitor a complex, multi-faceted division of the agency.
- Ability to formulate long range plans with ability to help others share the vision.
- Comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in supervision and people management skills and ability to encourage staff to grow and learn, as well as work independently and interdependently, a team manager, ability to lead people.
- Ability to assist in the implementation and maintenance of licensing, accrediting, agency and other policies and procedure requirements.
- Philosophical and physical commitment to therapeutic programming and interventions needed to work with severely emotionally troubled and other clients.
- Demonstrated time management skills, maturity, and responsibility.
- Ability to be flexible due to schedule conflict, interruptions, and/or crisis management.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner, communicate effectively both orally and in writing regularly with all departments.
- Ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions, willingness to incorporate them into existing practice.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects at once while meeting various timelines and staying within budget.
- Must be able to demonstrate cultural competency.
- Must have a commitment to the Whitington Mission.
