Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a thorough understanding of their mental health needs.

• Utilize therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate sessions and promote client progress.

• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes and accurate reporting.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies essential for recovery and mental wellness.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration by working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma associated with mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adults and families coping with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. In addition, you will engage with marginalized communities, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence, helping them navigate their unique challenges while fostering psychological resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
