Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and overseeing departmental operations within a high-volume, state-of-the-art emergency department. The role requires leading staff, ensuring quality patient care, and supporting departmental goals. Responsibilities: Hires, trains, evaluates, and develops staff to meet operational objectives. Participates in staffing, budgeting, and responding to business changes to meet financial targets. Ensures delivery of patient care aligned with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans, documenting appropriately. Creates collaborative care plans based on patient assessments. Monitors staff productivity, manages scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews. Supports staff discipline, coaching, and professional development. Maintains safety standards and ensures compliance with policies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active RN licensure. 2-5 years of nursing experience; leadership experience preferred. Strong team leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
