Payroll Support Specialist Position: 00576 Location: 7450 Freight Way, Mechanicsville, VA 23116 Salary: $44,400 - $57,600 Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Areas of Responsibility Accurately process the Authority’s payroll, benefits, leave, and short‑term disability (SDP/Worker’s Compensation) program. Prepare periodic reconciliations, audits, and reviews of payroll, benefits, and leave transactions. Process unemployment claims and complete employee verifications. Maintain a strong customer service ethic and a professional demeanor. Maintain confidentiality with employee records. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of payroll support experience. Experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia payroll processes.
