Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Travel Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend night shifts every other week (Friday and Saturday nights), rotating every 4 weeks. Final schedule clarification provided during interview based on unit needs. Patient ratio estimated at 1:1 to 1:2.

Highlights:

• Neuro ICU setting with complex patient population including stroke, neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, and neuromuscular disease
• Epic EMR system utilized for documentation
• Specialized experience with invasive neuromonitoring, EVD, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
• Exposure to advanced bedside procedures including tracheostomy, PEG, central line placement, and EVD insertion
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
