We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a local firm in Denver, Colorado. This part-time opportunity averages about 15 hours per week and offers a primarily remote schedule with occasional time in the office. The ideal candidate brings a dependable work style, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage core accounting tasks accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:• Process vendor invoices, support timely payment activities, and help maintain accurate accounts payable records.
• Track incoming payments, apply receipts, and assist with routine accounts receivable administration.
• Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and help keep financial data current and balanced.
• Provide billing assistance by preparing documents, reviewing charges, and helping resolve invoice-related questions.
• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support the accounting team with additional clerical and administrative tasks as needed to maintain smooth daily operations.
• Coordinate occasional in-office work while handling the majority of responsibilities in a hybrid environment.
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar finance support role.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and basic billing support activities.
• Detail-oriented approach, dependable attitude, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage part-time responsibilities efficiently.
