Job Description :  Mechanical Contractor seeks REVIT Plumbing, Sheet metal and piping Coordination Drawings Designer for construction alteration projects in existing hospitals and pharmaceutical facilities.

Duties will include converting 2D CAD or PDF engineering drawings into Autodesk Revit drawings and coordinating with Building Scans and Revit drawings from other trades.  Work will include field project site visits to scan existing conditions with project managers and office work on Autodesk Revit software computers. Candidate would work closely with an experienced designer, a project engineer and various project managers.

Capabilities

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS 

• Revit (non-negotiable) 
• Comprehensive knowledge of drafting with MEP Fabrication Parts 
• Drafting and modeling 
• Knowledge in reading contract drawings, specs and standards 
• Being able to work around other trades and coordinate models 
• Being able to work with point cloud data in both 2D and 3D 
• Creating fabrication drawings        
• Being able to create spool drawings  
• Ability to work with field to create view specific drawings on demand 
• AutoCAD 
• Navisworks Manage
• Compiling coordination projects from other trade models 
• Navigating coordination models and clashes to update in Revit  
• Running clash tests in times when the company is leading coordination 
• Interpersonal Skills 
• The ability to work with people within and outside of the company 
• Talking with field crew to discuss problems that come up during a project 
• Coordinating with PMs to make sure all deliverables are getting sent out for review and approvals are being sent out to field 
• Aiding in material ordering with clarifications from drawings made

• CAD MEP/ CAD Database Management  
• CAM Duct 
• Modifying specifications 
• Troubleshooting fabrication issues 
• Forma/ACC 
• Creating jobs and exporting Revit models and sheets 
• General familiarity with program interface 
• Revizto 
• Using LIDAR Scanners 
• Performing scans with the Trimble X9/TX6 to create comprehensive point clouds 
• Working with GC to access necessary spaces in the scope of work 

Our work includes plumbing, piping, sheet metal and air conditioning service primarily in the hospital and pharmaceutical fields. There are 30 people in the office, 6 people in the 10,000 square foot shop and approximately 75 trades people in the field. Dress code is casual. Work pace is fast paced; atmosphere is friendly and supportive.
