Senior Manager, Supply Chain

Gilead Sciences seeks a Global Trade Compliance Senior Manager to oversee import and export compliance operations across the US and Canada, manage customs brokers, and provide regional guidance. The role requires extensive expertise in international trade regulations, customs procedures, and pharmaceutical industry compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily export and import compliance operations, tasks, and projects for US/Canada regions
• Manage customs brokers and ensure timely, efficient customs clearance and regulatory compliance
• Develop and maintain compliance programs, policies, procedures, and controls aligned with CBP and CBSA guidelines
• Assign HTS classifications, export control classifications, and country of origin determinations for products
• Conduct internal audits and assessments of import/export procedures across the business lifecycle

Requirements

• 12+ years international trade compliance or supply chain experience with high school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Expert knowledge of import/export regulations, EAR classification, OFAC, BIS, harmonized tariff codes, and customs valuation
• Deep familiarity with FDA and other regulatory agencies in pharmaceutical or life sciences
• Proficiency in free trade agreements, duty drawback, foreign trade zones, and preferential origin programs
• US Customs Broker License preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of US and Canada customs laws and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication with proven collaboration skills
