Purchasing Specialist
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Specialist – International Markets (Oil & Gas) for a company based in Rosenberg, TX. This role will focus on managing purchasing activities, handling quotes, processing purchase orders, and performing data entry for the international oil and gas market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global procurement processes and the ability to handle complex purchasing and quoting tasks efficiently.
Pay Rate
$ 30.00 an hour (Depending on experience)
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Purchasing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare, manage, and track purchase orders for international suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from vendors to ensure competitive pricing and terms.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and perform data entry tasks efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet project and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers in the oil and gas industry.
• Monitor inventory levels and procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide support for special purchasing projects and ad hoc reporting.
Purchasing Specialist Qualifications and Requirements
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of international purchasing and quoting processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and data entry skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, or other purchasing software.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
