Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical Surgical unit with a focus on orthopedics and total joint replacement patients
• Administer medications including cardiac-specific IV/intravenous push medications as indicated
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 on night shift
• Float across multiple campuses as required to meet unit staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Orthopedic/Rehabilitation nursing experience required
• Experience with total joint replacement and braces care required
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Current BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) required
• Valid Driver's License required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience administering cardiac-specific IV/intravenous push medications highly preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
