Desktop Support Technician / Desktop Tech
Location: Winchester, VA (Onsite)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and has strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide desktop and laptop support for end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and related equipment.
- Support Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and standard business software.
- Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Desktop Support, Help Desk, or IT Support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory and user account management.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification preferred.
