Combat Systems Trainer Technician

Summary The future of intelligence is being built, operated, and delivered at HII. HII-Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is currently hiring a mid-level Combat Systems Trainer Technician to work out of the Point Loma Annex in San Diego, CA. Duties include first and second shift operation and technical service support to maintain the ASW Tactical Employment Trainer (ATET) facility, startup/shutdown, troubleshooting and cyber security responsibilities. The selected candidate will support the Integrated Training Systems ISEA Support (ITSIS) program. What You Will Do Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Perform duties such as setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interact with users, evaluate vendor products, make recommendations for hardware and software purchases, coordinate installation, provide backup recovery, and develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation of computing resources. Perform system administration duties (e.g., purge log files, archive data, maintain user accounts, update passwords, scanning, and compliance reporting) on trainer equipment in accordance with CIAT/ATET operational requirements using Government-approved procedures identified as GFI. Carry out these duties as a certified Information Assurance (IA) Workforce IA Technician Level 2, in accordance with the contract IA clauses, and be capable of obtaining and maintaining credentials as a member of the Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF). What You Must Have Minimum of 3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 1 year relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or a high school diploma/Equivalent and 7 years relevant experience. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain base access throughout employment. Experience troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time. Combat systems tactical software experience. AEGIS Combat Systems experience. Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification within 60 days of start date and maintain it throughout employment. Bonus Points For Current CompTIA Security+ certification (highly preferred). Experience with MS Network, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco systems. Fire Controlman – Aegis Computer Network Technician (FC-ACNT) experience. Combat Systems Maintenance Manager (CSMM) or AEGIS Network/ORTS Technician on baseline 9C DDG/CG experience. Previous or current Sonar Technician experience. Physical Requirements Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
