Supports modern operating systems, middleware, platforms, and business applications while promoting security, resiliency, standardization, and continuous improvement.Job ResponsibilitiesInstalls, configures, maintains, and supports server operating systems and infrastructure platforms across on-premises, virtualized, cloud, and hybrid environments. Coordinates security patching, system upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management activitiesImplements and maintains automation, scripting, monitoring, and configuration management practices to improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and support consistent system builds and operational processesAdministers and supports Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, and related messaging services, including mail flow, transport rules, shared mailboxes, retention policies, message tracing, and hybrid connectivity as applicableEvaluates, troubleshoots, and resolves operating system, hardware, network, cloud, storage, and platform-related issues, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders as neededMaintains backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes to protect data, minimize downtime, and support recovery objectivesMonitors system health, performance, capacity, security posture, and availability using modern observability and alerting tools; recommends improvements based on trends, risks, and operational needsProvides technical support, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, and knowledge transfer for infrastructure services and related business applicationsDegree / Licenses and Professional CertificationsMicrosoft Professional Certification and Linux (in at least two core technologies) preferredExperience6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, server administration, cloud or hybrid platform support, and enterprise operationsStrong knowledge of virtualization, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, cloud infrastructure, identity services, networking fundamentals, and related enterprise platformsExperience with scripting, automation, infrastructure-as-code concepts, monitoring tools, PowerShell, and Python preferredExperience supporting security patching, vulnerability management, endpoint/server hardening, backup and recovery, and operational resiliency practicesCompetenciesExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical risks, incidents, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause, prevention, and continuous improvementExcellent organization skills with the ability to manage competing operational work, project tasks, maintenance windows, and urgent support needsStrong ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and service providersExperience documenting technical standards, operational procedures, business requirements, functional specifications, and support handoff materialsDemonstrated security-minded approach to infrastructure administration, access management, patching, incident response, and compliance-related activitiesKnowledgeKnowledge of organizational priorities, governance, risk management, change control, and communication channels; ability to navigate formal and informal decision-making processes with guidanceKnowledge and understanding of business processes, technology dependencies, security expectations, service availability needs, and operational risk in the context of the company's businessKnowledge of current infrastructure trends, including cloud adoption, hybrid management, automation, monitoring, endpoint/server security, identity and access management, and resiliency planningSkillsStrong customer service orientation toward business units and technology partners requiring consultation, support, and accurate technical guidanceStrong project and change management skills, including planning, organizing, monitoring, coordinating resources, and executing work within approved maintenance windows and deadlinesStrong interpersonal relationship-building skills; able to work constructively and collaboratively with infrastructure, security, application, service desk, vendor, and business teamsStrong analytical ability with the capability to identify root causes, assess risk, evaluate options, and recommend practical, supportable solutionsAbility to use automation, scripting, monitoring, and standard operating procedures to improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiencySalary range $77,000 to $96,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.
