Licensed Practical NurseProvide prescribed medical treatments and personal care to students with disabilities pursuant to a written health care plan.Qualification:Licensed from the State to practice as a Licensed Practical NurseObserve students on a regular basis to detect health needsAdminister medication and treatment prescribed by physicians, including tracheostomy maintenanceAssemble and use such equipment as catheters, tracheostomy tubes, and oxygen suppliersSterilize equipment and suppliesAdminister first aid in accordance with established first aid proceduresAttend clinical meetings on behalf of students to help plan treatments needed at schoolAssist school personnel in maintaining sanitary standards in schoolsUse various software packages for communication and documentation purposesImplement, model and train others in the use of universal precautionsMaintain regular consistent attendance and punctualityAdhere to district health and safety proceduresAdhere to Board PoliciesMaintain confidentialityPrevious experience working children with disabilitiesGenuine enthusiasm, excellent interpersonal and organizational skillsAn ability to work on and be a contributor to a highly professional teamEvidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional mattersPossess high levels of flexibilityOther duties may be assignedReports to: Assistant Superintendent for Student Services and RNStart Date: ImmediatelyRate of Pay:POSITION DETAILS:Full-time (school year) for the 2022/23 school year and beyondHours: 32 -40 hours per week (school day schedule)Pay: $19.51 - $24.32 per hourBenefits: Single Subscriber health insurance or cash in lieuPhysical Setting - School Building/School BusSchedule - 8 hour shiftWork Location - One assigned location with flexibility to supportEvaluation:As outlined in the I.U.O.E. contractTerms of Employment:As outlined in the I.U.O.E. contractWHO ARE WE?Cedar Springs Public Schools is a Preschool through 12th-grade public school consisting of over 3,500 students and nearly 400 employees.
