Unit Coordinator I FT I Day I 40 hrs I Surgery Center I Germantown

Responsibilities Provides support to patients, partners in care, family and guests. Ensures accurate and effective communication to respond early to concerns, needs and comments. Supports the timely and accurate use of all medical record forms and documentation. Processes orders and assists with coordination of patient care services. Provides online tools support and general unit operations support. Performs other job functions as assigned or requested. Requirements Education: No formal education required. Preferred work experience: 1–3 years in an administrative or clerical role. Knowledge of medical terminology. Compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations. Working knowledge of MS Office and experience with electronic medical record systems. Computer troubleshooting skills: wireless device connectivity, LAN, help‑desk tickets and intranet usage. Strong customer‑service experience in a retail or healthcare setting. Proficiency with basic office equipment (multi‑line phones, data‑entry, legible handwriting). Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage routine to moderately complex situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive data. Supervision No supervisory or lead responsibilities are assigned to this position beyond those inherent with project coordination. Physical Demands Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or 25 lbs frequently. Handling narcotics as needed. Close visual acuity, including color, depth perception and field of vision. Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials.
